Welcome to Oceanic

A newly built family home on a quiet street in Agatti. Seven rooms, the beach two minutes away on foot, and a host who plans every day around the tide.

We're near Madeena Bakery, about 200 metres from the beach. The airport is 3.7 km away, a five-minute drive, and we'll be there to meet you when you land.

Your host, Salahudeen, helps you plan each day: when the water is best for snorkelling, which boat to take to Kalpitti, and where to watch the sunset. Meals are cooked at home, with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.

Simple, clean and cool after a day in the sea

Every room has a solid wood double bed, air conditioning, a ceiling fan and an attached bathroom with a geyser. Some rooms also have a wardrobe and dressing table. We can add an extra bed for families.

Three nights, four days on Agatti

This is the trip most of our guests take. A typical plan looks like this. We move things around for the tide and the weather.

  1. Day 1

    Arrive

    We meet you at Agatti Airport and bring you home for lunch. Afternoon on the beach, sunset over the lagoon.

  2. Day 2

    Into the lagoon

    Snorkelling and a glass-bottom boat ride over the reef.

  3. Day 3

    Kalpitti

    Boat trip to Kalpitti island, then sightseeing around Agatti in the evening.

  4. Day 4

    Head home

    Breakfast, and we drop you at the airport.

  2. By ship. Passenger ships sail from Kochi to the islands. We can help you with tickets.
  3. Entry permit. Every visitor needs a permit to enter Lakshadweep. It's included in our package, and we can arrange it for room-only stays too.

Good to know before you come

Can I book a room without the package?

Yes. Rooms can be booked on their own, and you can add meals, airport pickup and activities as you like. We can also help with the entry permit.

When is the best time to visit?

October to May, when the sea is calm and the water is clear. June to September is the monsoon. The sea gets rough and some boat trips don't run.

Do you serve vegetarian food?

Yes. We cook both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. Let us know about any dietary needs when you book.

How do I get the entry permit?

Send us your ID details when you confirm your booking and we'll apply for the permit for you. It's included in the 3-night package.

Is the homestay suitable for children and older guests?

Yes. The beach is close by and we plan activities to suit each group. Tell us who's travelling and we'll suggest what works.
